What sound does the alarm remind you of early in the morning? Whatever it is and no matter how hard you throw it, here are some of the reasons why we get up every morning. Following is a selection of the current work that we have been doing for clients.
Australian Childhood Foundation
Thinking provides the strategic and conceptual framework. The Web Squad builds the sites. This is a wonderful client to work on as the sites go from the joy of childhood with www.kidscount.com.au through to the more serious subject matter that confronts you with www.stopchildabuse.com.au. Overseeing all this is childhood.org.au which is the governing body and the voice of the Foundation.
Our role is to create a visual look and feel that mirrors the purpose of each online presence.
Falls Creek
fallscreek.com.au has been a client for over 6 years. In that time, millions of pages have been served up to customers. It has gone from a basic site, to one full of pages and full of tools that allow every the business on the mountain to manage the communication they have with their customers.
The front end that is visible to customers, bobs like the tip of an iceberg. Below the surface sits the sophistication of www.fallsonline.com.au. Behind its secure login sits a powerful CMS (content management system) that allows stakeholders from Falls Creek Resort Management, Falls Creek Ski Lifts and most of the approximately 200 businesses on the mountain to administer their listings, mini sites, news items, press and media releases and more.
Equity Trustees
equitytrustees.com.au is another long term client. Our role has been to manage and maintain their large site which has changes on a weekly basis. New investment products added, Product Disclosure Documents updated, there are areas that cater for the public others for financial managers and others that need to serve many of Equity Trustees community needs such as their Equity Trustees CEO Awards.
GNC Livewell
GNC LiveWell is the Australian arm of a global organisation that provides nutritional and health products via its centres. Following pressure from users and store managers, GNC has decided to create a presence on the internet for uses. The first steps are to create this presence. The next steps will be to expand the online usability to provide a meaningful and relevant extension to the main road stores and be a an efficient means of communication with its thousands of members.
Incitec Pivot
Incitec Pivot is Australia's largest fertiliser supplier. It's website i is used as a means of distributing information of it products to customers and information to shareholders and stakeholders.
MADC
The MADC (Melbourne Advertising Design Club) is the main voice for Melbourne's advertising fraternity. Its role is to provide stimulating workshops and events that help maintain a vibrant the advertising industry. It's main function is the annual MADC Awards ceremony. The Web Squad has developed a Ticket and Table seating system that helps the organisers of this event to efficiently gather and arrange guest and seating plans.
Legal Practitioners Liability Committee
LPLC is an information site for Australia's legal profession. The Web Squad's role is to maintain the site and provide tools that enable LPLC to efficiently and effectively communicate with their audience.
Quantum Edge
Quantum Edge is one of Australia's leading business training organisations in the area of strategy, leadership and cultural transition. MD David Peake defines his company as providing "a unique insight to the Australian workplace, our programs deliver definite productivity improvements which contribute to improved company results." The Web Squad provides an online presence that provides the same level of professionalism.
Mind Gallery
Can you visualise an inspiration? That's the work of a very successful small business calledMind Gallery. Organisations as diverse as Football Clubs and Australia Post have come together in an effort to project their business path. The Mind Gallery encapsulates this in a work of art by their award winning artists. The art work which sits in a public area, it becomes a visual representation to the organisation of its stated goals. The Web Squad has built and maintains its online presence which is the main source of information for this small organisation.
Ronstan
Ronstan provides hardware for boats. It has large interests in Australia, the US and Europe. The Web squad has recently developed a Mast database system that allows boat owners and builders to quickly and easily identify the hardware required for their particular specifications.
Sophisticat
Sophisticat provides accommodation for choosy cats. An up market catery that is proving to be very successful. The Web Squads work is important as the internet becomes a more and more important method of searching for such commodity needs.
Stotts Online
Stotts Online is a correspondence college that's that after 100 years in the business knows a lot about virtual classrooms. Our role is to keep the hundreds of courses that are available ready to be consumed.
The Web Squad
How could we let this opportunity go by without a word about the very site that you are looking at. This particular site was built by The Web Squad. The design was provided by Mighty World, the structure is XHTML, the presentation is handled by CSS. Both have been validated, links have been checked with WatchFire, accessibility has been check against Bobby and it all came through nice and clean. Amazing.
